Broadway Sings for Pride celebrated New York City LGBT Pride with its fourth annual benefit concert, representing over 15 Broadway shows, June 30 at Toshi’s Living Room & Penthouse.

The one-night benefit, entitled Anthem, featured songs that embody gay perseverance, marked by an array of musical performers from the worlds of Broadway, pop and beyond.

The 8 PM event, which benefit Hetrick-Martin Institute and Broadway Sings for Pride, featured guest speakers and artists including Gail Marquis (Silver Medal Olympian, New York City Basketball Hall of Fame inductee), Khadia (“American Idol,” “The X-Factor”),Leeds Hill (Cabaret), Chondra Profit (The Lion King),Marisha Wallace (Aladdin), Amy Spanger (Rock of Ages, Kiss Me Kate), Rebecca Larkin (South Pacific, Avenue Q), Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida)Phyre Hawkins (Hair, The Book of Mormon), Romelda T. Benjamin (Brooklyn), Catrice Joseph(Rent, Seussical), MJ Rodriguez (Rent), Kyle Motsinger (Off Broadway’s Fancy Nancy), Brian Craft (Off Broadway’s Let My People Come), Noreen Crayton (Rent national tour), Megan Elyse Fulmer (Shrek national tour), Elissa Goldstein, Athena Reich, Rachel Lorin, Michael O’Connor, Lindsay Lavin, Adam Shapiro (“The Normal Heart“), Valerie Smaldone, Louise Stewart (Mary Poppins national tour), Jennifer Fouché (Off Broadway’s Sistas the Musical), Tym Moss, Bridget Cady (Rent national tour), Sam Given (Rent at the Hollywood Bowl), Ano Okera (Rent national tour), Solomon Kee, Gusty Winds, Thomas Krever, Neal Bennington and Dougie Meyer.

Charles Santoro (Off-Broadway’s Silence! The Musical) served as the musical director, arranger and pianist. He was joined by David Cinquegrana on guitar, Joe Mankin on bass guitar, Michael Pagnotta on woodwinds and John Ferrari on percussion.

Neal Bennington produced the event in association with Artists ProofProductions and Dougie Meyer.
